About McDowell Ranch

Cold Creek

The Cold Creek Pasture of the McDowell Ranch is situated on approximately 800 acres of land straddling Cold Creek in the Central Texas mineral region known as the Llano Uplift. Across Highway 71 to the south lies Cold Creek Cemetery and Smoothingiron Mountain. Some of the biggest bucks in the county have been spotted on this land as well as hogs and turkey. There's even a "shack" located on the property - a 2 bedroom dwelling with running water... but beware, it's over 100 years old and looks every bit that old.

Bend

The Bend Pasture of the McDowell Ranch is situated on approximately 500 acres in the High Valley region of San Saba County, which is home to Alamosa Wine Cellars and a number of small feeder vineyards. The Bend Pasture is located 1.5 miles west of the Colorado River and 4 miles northwest of Colorado Bend State Park.
